reading :: first thoughts
In a traditional PhD, this Convolute would be the ‘Literature Review’ Chapter. In a traditional PhD it would consist of a single, extended piece of writing designed to prove that I have done the reading, put in the groundwork and understand on whose shoulders I am hoping to stand.
There is an extent to which this Convolute will do that, but as with all of the Olympic Arcades Project, I will be seeking to explore the form as well as the content. I will be finding ways to read, note, interpret, analyse and synthesise existing academic work through dialectical images.
The Reading Fragments convolute will be the shoebox in which I will throw the notes and here will be where I find ways to write them.
