The front of the controller features an illustration of Hotei Snorlax drawn by Mallory Hodgkin@stablercake. I got the client to secure permission to use the design before starting work.

The illustration was applied using transparent waterslide transfer paper in two layers, the first layer was inked white by hand using Rotring pens. I inked the halo behind Snorlax’s head gold using Rotring pens too.

The raised button areas are painted a bright orange with the main body of the controller being a mottled grey/blue.

The entire controller is lacquered using many layers of Mipa winner matte lacquer. I sanded using 1200 grit between each layer to get the smoothest possible texture.
