This controller was done for Origin, a celebration tournament of UK Smash history hosted by Team Heir.
The main body of the controller is painted with a green dominant space effect, I used green inks, Letraset promarkers and metallic green and neon paints to build up a green texture with lots of depth then alternating opaque and transluscent black spray paints, glitter lacquer and white spatter effects to give complexity to the design.
On the front of the controller is the Origin logo done using waterslide transfer paper.
On the back is “ORIGIN” again, done using waterslide transfer paper.
Behind the C-Stick and D-Pad are the Team Heir and Design out of Shield logos
The whole controller is protected by Mipa winner matte lacquer, I used cans with very little left in to make a spot gloss spatter effect which I think complements the space design better than pure matte or gloss.
