href=\"http:\/\/theinternationale.com\/designoutofshield\/2016\/04\/20\/wobbles\/\" target=\"_blank\">Wobbles&#8217;s controller<\/a> <\/p>\n<p>This controller is based on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rivalsofaether.com\/characters\/absa\/\" target=\"_blank\">Absa<\/a>, a character from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rivalsofaether.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Rivals of Aether<\/a>, a smash style platform fighter.<\/p>\n<p>I used some of the assets from her lightning attack animations to create stencils which I used to protect the clear controller from the paint grey and purple gradients that cover the majority of the controller. <\/p>\n<p>I made sure that the paint I used was slightly translucent, thinned using airbrush reducer and applied in very light layer making sure I had control over how thick the paint would be so that when the LED lights were put in I they could be seen through the paint as well as where the stencils had prevented the paint from adhering.<\/p>\n<p>On the front in the centre of the controller is the Shinewave logo also done using stencil paper so that the logo is transparent.<\/p>\n<p>The C-stick is painted to compliment the cloud colours of the controller and the top of it has been re-cast using <a href=\"https:\/\/sugru.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Sugru<\/a> a wonderful, moldable putty rubber that I&#8217;ve been having a lot of fun experimenting with.<\/p>\n<p>The entire controller is covered by Mipa Winner matte lacquer which will protect the paintwork from the rigours of
