About
A former photographer and journalist, Paul Caplan is working on a practice-research PhD at Birkbeck, University of London. The project seeks to build an object-oriented account of the operation of software protocols in imaging and imagining the 2012 Olympics. Paul has worked as a consultant advising business and the UK government on the implications, threats and opportunities of the Live Web and social media – the distributed space and relations that he is now seeking to map. Paul also taught at Birkbeck where he got his students to look for new models of distributed journalism. He tweets as @internationale.
